Ad Astra per Amorem
To the Stars through Love
Ilen X Cagliostro
About the F/O
Cagliostro is an interesting combination of gentleman, powerful mage and a simple guy who happened to have a brilliant mind, yet not the right efficiency and luck to execute all his abilities at their best. You can believe he is everything, yet he is none. A wondrous paradox open in front of you to explore it. A glitch in the Throne of Heroes' system. Such feature which could never be predicted in the Summoning System, nor can he be throughout his whole existence. A Servant whose Master needs to think outside of the box to coexist well. Yet, thinking outside of the box not always means 'best'.

That smile which his soft and thin lips picture isn't but a mask of a man with a destroyed heart, betrayed by love, finding shelter in magic and knowledge. Feeding his brain with ideas and concepts which once escaped his mortal life, giving himself a new chance to be, to share, to exist. Yet never finding this potential to release his ideas anywhere.

He finds fascination in the Mystery, in Ancient Egypt and its wonders ---still hidden nowadays. He has a strong inclination towards what's encoded, towards what's encrypted and forgotten, an echo of his own soothed laments. He finds pleasure in where others find chaos. His wording is not helping to the truth of his intentions. That mantle which carries over his backs is lighter than the density it represents.
In other words, meet him at your own risk. Do you think you might change him, or do you think he will change you?

No one knows how profound he is. How tender his heart is, and how sensitive his soul might be. The secrets hold in those lustrous eyes are of anguish and self-depreciation. Cagliostro doesn't put his ego into a pedestal. He buries it feets under the ground, to never find it. His energy might be erratic by moment, especially when echoes of his mortal life manifests. The cracks of his face aren't but a mere reflection of what he's gone through (headcanon). If his mysteries (emotional) are to be unveiled, may they do under the hands which could hold the delicacy he denies to expose, in fear to have his Saint Graph wounded even more than it already is. His Magical Circuits falter, his composure isn't but a trick held by threads which might either loose or break anytime soon. His kindness is immense. He offers his selfless service to the poor and the needed, healing the sick with a touch of his withered heart.
About the Insert
Ilen, 32, she/her. (She met Cagliostro in her 29s, almost 30).A late diagnosed autistic woman with anxiety disorder. Way too restless to let things unsolved, and this hunger to solve mysteries has somehow involved her story with Cagliostro. Later after her diagnose, she has found to have more power in the realm of dreams (expanding later).
She's the older daughter of Luzia, a powerful Magus married with Pietro Cass, a man who fixes ships and albeit he's a Magus as well, his abilities as such are average. Ilen has a younger brother with similar abilities than their mother, whose name is not revealed. He works in the Arts of Mystery and can even know about True Names before circumstances would reveal them. "In a Holy Grail War, it would be an easy win, yet in Chaldea..." /ref (of course those who know about 'the brother' would put Command Spells to delay this process). In resume, this brother is Luzia and Pietro's prodigy. Luzia passed at her 53 years old due to an incident involving a Servant belonging to a Magus which conspired to decimate her.

Ilen was always known for being an 'average-to-mediocre Master' with no real abilities which could highlight or drive her towards major missions, unlike Pietro who albeit he wasn't the most skilled Master, he had his own Servants such like Tesla and Babbage as to contribute with his creations. He never left Ilen down, though, and found she had several emotional outbursts whenever she wanted to better her skills or even, perform Summons. Nobody took her seriously save for her dad and brother, yet being her mother's shadow has thrown her to the point to start questioning her existence.

This somehow changed when her younger brother has found anomalies in the second Ordeal Call before Ritsuka & company, a finding which took place accidentally, involving a potential Servant named Cagliostro. He tried to warn Chaldea, yet nobody listened. Cagliostro has come later on with the Ordeal Call Singularity clear, in a Summon Ritsuka made, and upon being unwanted, right before the cancellation of the Contract, something happened. Ilen has started to investigate about the figure behind this Cagliostro's History, asking him 'to be friends' in a lucid oniric vision. She didn't know she was already making a Summon, through a way too powerful although ignored tool: a dream. She Summoned a Servant through a dream, and he manifested in reality.

Ilen is well skilled in the magic of dreams, with such a precision almost to her mother's level. Her magical circuits are also well fit for the performance of illusions and charm. She is the ideal Master for Servants whose Class are Caster or Sabers. Independently of Class, figures whose main focus center into intellect could click well with her, likewise those with attacks (and NP) of the Arts type. She knows not this and doesn't consider dreaming like relevant for Servant training, Summoning or even magical use in general (mostly because of own ignorance than anything else and this "I need to be a Buster attack expert like mom" --mama always having skills on Archers & Beserkers). These kinds of magic are suggested by Cagliostro after so many oniric experiences together as Master and Servant.
About the Ship

Cagliostro has come Ilen through a Summon which occurred in a dream, yet he manifested in reality, in a quiet evening. His behavior with her was always calmer than his usual self, due that he detected from minute zero that he was dealing with a vulnerable Master holding a volatile form of magic. He would later find she has trouble handling sensory correctly, and would find himself curious about the matter (while Ilen still finds curiosity regarding his mortal backstory), both of them gaining a crescent interest in aiding each other through researches throughout time. Cagliostro about certain patterns which would later end up to confirm Ilen's condition, and Ilen giving him information which could help him acquire more solid roots as to start gathering memories, recover interests which he thought lost, and other matters. In the way both of them would experiment hardships they would face as 'a team'.

The both of them have found to share many odd an interesting traits in common. An interest for the mystery and illusions, a certain curiosity towards dreams, a passion for travelling, even to have cheese as favorite food and sharing birthdays... somehow (while Ilen has been born in the late 7th of June, Cagliostro has born at June 8th <-- the day he was born was confounded online by the day he received his Masonic patent at June 2nd, 1777). While most people would find these traits quite irrelevant, the both of them would take them as signs to start believing this could be more than a Summon which 'occurred casually', as it initially looked like.

They both enjoy spending time together, yet they appreciate personal space when needed, especially in introspective moments. They sleep together, share shower, breakfast, and even snacks. They have done since day one without any shame, for they have connected well, first seeing each other as friends who often enjoyed teasing and flirting. (But both of them knew this was love at first sight). Admittedly, Cagliostro took this as a "sort of silly little game", but ended up endeared and his heart softened significantly upon seeing Ilen vulnerable, having this need to protect her. When some time after, he found out about her great power, he's got both surprised and encouraged her to keep training, showing her the potential to become into much more than they once believed to be in a beginning. (Hopefully they could have had Team Rocket vibes in some timelines, but that's an anecdote for an own story somewhere else!)
About our Dynamics

Art by: DedosDeMantequilla
Cagliostro has started to take his bond with Ilen as a silly little game in the first two nights they met, yet the third day they have seen each other, Ilen hasn't come joyful as always, and was in fact overwhelmed due to the hardships which presented on her daily tasks. Instead of taking any advantage of this (?), he has shown concern and deep caring for her, just standing by her side in silence and trying to understand this huge energy drop... not only in her, but in himself too.Eventually, he ended up understanding that the nature of their bond often gives him signs about his Master (and later beloved)'s status. Upon understanding certain patterns and adopted methods to cope with such episodes, Cagliostro has become into a great helper on Ilen's daily life, since helping her to put her equipment to even, help her eat when her will fell entirely. His researches contributed to her well being grandly, and her researches helped him to gather more ground regarding his own identity.

Both of them enjoy investigating, about the mystic, the unknown and the magic of dreams. They often watch random stories as well, especially those involving space or ancient Egypt. Their mutual love, support and companion are their pillars, around communication. Since both of them have been misunderstood and judged most time in their lives, they want to be clear with each other as long as possible.
Brushing Cagliostro's hair relaxes Ilen. She loves long hairs, though she can't have by their own due that she finds it very heavy. He finds the act of having his hair brushed very relaxing, sometimes falling asleep on the act. The first time he wept because he wasn't used to be treated this carefully, and she kissed his forehead to soothe him. He wept ever harder, not due to sadness... just high emotion, because he thought this was the most beautiful act done to them in a way, long while.
They are very into teasing, exhanging gazes or sharing sweets together. When they are in a positive mood, this helps keeping the relationship close. When they are both into a negative mindset, they keep silence, but stay together. They also are big fans of soft hugs and forehead kissing.

Even if they are shown shy in the surface and in public, they are creative in private (yes, that kind haha) always improving into what would work the better. Yep, balms, edibles and infusions are some of their favorites. Their favorite flavor is vanilla (if you know what I mean).Although they share a Master + Servant relationship at the very begin (LOL NO THEY FLIRTED SINCE DAY 1), they see and feel each other as equals, guys trying to fight hardships and try to get better each day yeh.
They aren't like, the big jealous. A bit sometimes, yes (both) but... they can take it. Talking and some kissies would solve it all. The power of love, that's it.
Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel is so them.
Angst: NO. Life has done them enough please let em be happy
About my Nonsharing Status
I am NON SHARING with Cagliostro, and this is why.
I simply cannot isolate the Servant from his historical counterpart, since I feel a strong connection with him in both aspects and my personal story/experience doesn't help much. I met the historical Cagliostro thanks to his Servant self, which led me to investigate more about his mortal life. What I found so shady about the way in which the most known pieces of text (and some of FGO lore, but as I spoke with a friend that's most likely in-Franchise story than real History itself), is the way in which Cagliostro's image is depicted. As for the 'historical records' (most likely Inquisitive selections shown to the masses), it felt like an 'immaturely built callout', with poor foundament and more insults than information which can help you trace a real map of his so said wonders.
In my own research I have found some books which are scanned material from XX Century, in a context where historians were putting all eyes over the damage Inquisition has done (Splendour & Misery of a Master of Magic by Throwbridge is one of my great favorites and totes recommend it to you if you're interested, as for starters). Upon reading the material I found out, with more objective information, sources, more composed language and even, a story attempting to trace a map of all his movements around the world (also Il Vangelo di Cagliostro if I remember correctly... Like the name in Spanish ---a physical book I own-- is way different sorry), it felt like we were sharing this sentiment of being misunderstood and judged with no solid foundament other than just babbling about what the world wants us to do and follow (and hyperempathy didn't help either ah)... But yeah, I somehow applied all I've lerned into "my copy of him", and awareness kind of hit his Saint Graph.
As for what I was starting to build as "a lore" once the concept of yumeship has touched my ears, I felt that we were doing a mutual restoration. While I was giving him more solid (or objective information) in where to look for his story and past, he would somehow start to suggest me to do the same for myself (find patterns in my difficulties, in what could trigger those odd episodies in where headaches and the inability to speak came, &c &c). It helped, significantly. He even appeared in dreams, helping me to solve personal hardships with my mother who, back then, has crossed the rainbow bridge months before Cagliostro and I met. Knowing yumeship was gorgeous, yes, I learned a lot, about myself thanks to him, and about him thanks to this immense love I poured into his marvelous person, but then when I saw this side of the Fandom which pictured him as a shady man (yeah, somewhat accurate but I felt very uncomfy having read all the misfortunes which his rl counterpart went through), who also inclined him towards Dark Romance, and gave him a sort of... different vision to this one I had... it felt kind of painful to me, and to this copy of his Saint Graph I have worked on so far. I question not those different visions. The historical Cagli had this whole "no one is superior to no one" viewpoint which led me to hold this vision of "yeah, I may not be compatible with other yumeshipper's visions, and that's okay. They have their own visions and I respect them. Just keep them away from me because they are not comfortable for me to see".
